Vintage Chair Makeover!

I picked up this cute vintage chair at GW's for $4.95! I steam cleaned the cover, and kept the charming worn black finish, but didn't like the fabric.

I had some yardage of muslin that I ironed and used to cover the current current fabric and mask the color. The fabric I chose was light, and the mauve needed to be blocked.

I pulled it taught and began to staple the muslin, carefully folding and tugging the corners to prevent puckering.

My little helper pretending she is a robot. She has quite the imagination! ;o)

After I covered the cushion with the muslin, I ironed the top fabric and stapled it in the same way as I had the muslin.

Cute French inspired stamped print from Hancock Fabrics.

New life to someones discarded item. With my coupon from Hancock Fabrics this chair cost about $13.00 total!
